IPR / IPC

Introduction

IPR is a companion program to IPC. IPR is a software for controlling our MAC-Science IP-reader. Both IPR and IPC were updated to run on Linux using the JDK1.2 . For running these programs on Linux we use © Sun Microsystem's javax.comm (communications API), + JCL package + RXTX package ( native serial port library by Trent Jarvi) .

Main Features

• multi-threaded program
• uses serial port to send control commands to the reader
• uses ethernet port to receive Imaging Plate data from the reader
